Prison-Based Healing and Restoration – Reducing Recidivism and Restoring Lives

Comprehensive Healing & Restoration Program – A 12–18 month intensive, faith-based program designed for men incarcerated for sexual offenses, focused on personal accountability, healing, and lasting life change.

Currently Serving Marion Correctional Institution – The program is presently offered at Marion Correctional Institution, with plans to expand to additional correctional facilities in the future to reach more individuals seeking transformation.

Addressing Root Causes – Participants explore the emotional, relational, spiritual, and behavioral factors that have contributed to unhealthy patterns, while developing greater self-awareness, responsibility, and healthier ways of living.

Renewing Identity & Purpose – Through Biblical teaching, guided reflection, and practical application, participants are encouraged to discover their identity in Christ, embrace personal growth, and develop a renewed sense of purpose.

Preparing for Long-Term Success – The program equips participants with tools for emotional regulation, healthy relationships, accountability, and spiritual growth to support a successful transition into the community and a life of integrity.

Pathway to Successful Re-Entry

Practical Re-Entry Support – We provide re-entry bags with essential items such as toiletries, socks, underwear, and limited clothing assistance to help individuals meet immediate needs upon release.

Housing & Stability Assistance – We help individuals navigate housing options by providing guidance and, when available, assistance with transitional housing application fees and other barriers to securing safe, stable housing.

Employment Readiness & Job Search Support – We assist with résumé development, interview preparation, job search strategies, and connecting individuals with employment resources to support a successful transition back into the workforce.

Emotional & Spiritual Support – Through mentoring, accountability, and faith-based encouragement, we help individuals navigate the challenges, stress, and life changes that often accompany re-entry.

Community Connection & Ongoing Encouragement – We work to connect individuals with healthy support systems, churches, recovery resources, and positive community relationships that promote long-term success and personal growth.

Family Support and Restoration

• Supporting the Entire Family – Sexual brokenness often impacts not only the individual, but also spouses, children, parents, and extended family members. Unchained recognizes the far-reaching effects and provides support for those navigating these challenges.
• Guidance Through the Healing Process – We help families process the confusion, grief, betrayal, shame, and other complex emotions that can accompany loving and understanding someone who is struggling with sexual brokenness or its consequences.
• Rebuilding Trust & Strengthening Relationships – Through education, support, and practical guidance, we assist families in rebuilding trust, improving communication, and developing healthier relationship dynamics.
• Healthy Boundaries & Family Restoration – We equip family members with tools to establish healthy boundaries, promote emotional well-being, and navigate restoration in ways that are both safe and constructive.
• Encouraging Hope & Reunification – When appropriate, we support healthy reunification efforts by helping families work toward healing, reconciliation, and renewed relationships built on accountability, honesty, and growth.

Individual, Couples, and Family Counseling and Support

Addressing a Wide Range of Struggles – Biblical counseling services address concerns such as pornography, compulsive sexual behaviors, infidelity, unhealthy relationship patterns, sexual addiction, and other challenges affecting emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being.
A Safe & Compassionate Environment – We offer a confidential, non-judgmental space where individuals and families can openly explore their struggles, ask difficult questions, and begin the healing process.
Healing the Root Issues – Through Biblical guidance and practical tools, we help individuals identify underlying wounds, unhealthy beliefs, emotional triggers, and relational patterns that contribute to ongoing struggles.
Restoration, Growth & Lasting Freedom – Our goal is to strengthen relationships, promote healthy boundaries, deepen spiritual growth, and equip individuals and families to experience lasting freedom, healing, and restoration.

Education, Training, and Consultation

Education, Training & Consultation for Churches – We partner with churches, ministry leaders, and faith-based organizations to provide education, training, and consultation on issues related to sexual brokenness, recovery, healing, restoration, and healthy discipleship.
Equipping Leaders with Understanding & Practical Tools – We help church leaders better understand the emotional, relational, biological, and spiritual factors that contribute to sexual struggles, enabling them to respond with both Biblical truth and Christ-centered compassion.
Specialized Training Topics – Training may include pornography and sexual addiction, sexual integrity, trauma and its effects, recovery principles, accountability, healthy boundaries, relapse prevention, and creating safe and supportive environments for healing.
Re-Entry & Reintegration Consultation – We assist churches in developing thoughtful and responsible approaches for welcoming individuals returning from incarceration while maintaining appropriate safety measures and accountability structures.
Building Safe & Redemptive Faith Communities – Our goal is to help churches balance grace with wisdom by implementing safeguards that protect congregations while providing opportunities for support, discipleship, spiritual growth, and meaningful community connection.
